The average life span of an air conditioner is about 10-15 years. This is with proper care and maintenance and moderate use. However, if you use the machine frequently, almost on a regular basis, and there is no proper servicing and maintenance, it will last for about 8-10 years. Moderate use of the AC improves its longevity almost by 2 times. In many cases, it has been seen that an air conditioner machine has lasted for almost 20-22 years.
